Eduard Kelderhuis Shares Tips For A Happy Married Life

Eduard Kelderhuis is a successful marriage counselor who believes that marriage can be a source of happiness or sorrows depending on how you manage your relationship with your spouse. To help couples bolster their happiness despite the ups & downs in their relationship, he shares many useful tips with them. One of the things that he advices his client is to communicate with their partner. According to him, sometimes lack of communication leads to worsening a problem than resolving it.

Eduard Kelderhuis also encourages his clients to introduce meaningful conversations into their relationship. After counseling numerous couples, he has realized that more than 70% of couples gradually stop discussing several such subjects, which they talked about for hours when they were courting. In fact, after three or four years of marriage, all they talk about is the weekly grocery list, what’s for the dinner, or how much they should spend on the new sofa set. Eduard suggests his clients to have interesting conversations with their partner to keep that spark alive which they had in the beginning of their marriage.

Eduard Kelderhuis says that if one wants their marriage to last forever, they should treat their spouse with respect & affection. It does not mean that you have to bring expensive gifts or flowers for him/her every other day. Sometimes, even small gestures of love and kind words are enough to nurture the relationship. According to Eduard, the problems arise when couples begin to take each other for granted and skip making out time for their married life. He advises his clients to put their marriage first and respect their partner.
